ABOUT STEELCHAIR
In 2024, a joke about using a folding chair as an instrument sparked something bigger. Steel Chair was born. We’re a two piece metal experience, delivering the biggest and most refined live production two musicians can bring to a stage. Hailing from a small town in central Illinois, we bring a wild show packed with crushing riffs, two step chaos, devastating breakdowns, and unexpected girl pop covers.

HISTORY OF THE CHAIR
Our members bring over 28 years of combined experience playing in bands. We started our first project at 15, crammed into our parents’ garage, chasing a sound we could call our own.
By 17, we were out on our first tour. barely old enough to drive, but driven by the dream of playing music full time. Since then, we’ve stayed on the road and on the stage, performing in multiple bands and sharing bills with heavy hitters like Lorna Shore, Filth, I Set My Friends on Fire, and many more.
Through all of it, we’ve learned how each of us thinks, plays, and pushes the other. That history lets us blend our styles into one tight, unique package every time we step on stage.
